A Wise Woman...is thankful
With eternal gratitude, I celebrate my Wise Advisors who have graciously and enthusiastically offered their time, wisdom, experience, guidence and support.
Kevin Western

We consider Kevin to be our “Wise Guy” but he’s also referred to as “Oh Wise One”, “Wise Acre” and even on occasion been called a “wise a_ _” ! Kevin brings much needed humor, energy, creativity and a unique perspective that has effectively shed the light on solutions at times when we were so inside the forest it was hard to see the trees.
Being the playful, passionate, creative and imaginative individual that he is, he caught the vision for a wise woman… early on, and has generously offered his talents and expertise that have helped to shape the very core of our company.
Kevin has offered us his 17 years of marketing solutions, marketing communications, graphic design and his true genius ability to get the message right.
Kevin is co-founder of Shervin Communications, a full-service graphic design and marketing studio that has been named by Business Vancouver publication “Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies” for 2007, 2008 and 2009, as well as “Biggest Graphic Design Firms in BC” for 2006 and 2007.
Sherrin Western

We have been fortunate to benefit from Sherrin’s expertise and insights right from the very beginning of a wise woman… She has tirelessly supported, inspired, encouraged and brainstormed just when it was needed the most.
Sherrin is co-owner of Shervin Communications and has twenty years of experience in management; marketing, professional speaking and customer service. She has been included in the “Who’s Who in Canadian Women” and “Who’s Who of Canadian Business” publications, been awarded “Woman of Distinction” honours in Burnaby, BC, was one of 20 finalists for the “Influential Woman in Business” 2000 in Vancouver, was again a nominee for “Influential Woman in Business” 2003 and was awarded “National Volunteer of the Year” for Canadian Women in Communications in 2004.
Whew! The best part of all these accomplishments though, is that she is also a walking poster child for the mission of “a wise woman…” because she’s done all of this while taking needed downtime, regularly connecting with her friends and truly celebrates who and where she is in her life. This is one wise woman.
Cara Caldwell

Cara has been a tremendous sounding board in all aspects of creating a wise woman…
She has generously offered her intuition, eye for design, creative flare, and sleuth-like research abilities to everything aspect of this venture from product development to the details of our weekend retreats. She’s a “roll-up-the-sleevsy” kind of gal who has a keen attention to detail.
Cara brings her marketing know-how and intuitive people skills to us as well as to her role as a Real Estate Agent with Royal LePage. Cara believes that excellence is never an accident; it is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities.

Kathy Bishop

Kathy’s enthusiasm, sage wisdom, experience and passion to support women in business has had a powerful impact on the creation of a wise woman…
Through her company, Kathy Bishop and Associates, Kathy has worked domestically and internationally in the areas of leadership, organizational development and facilitation. She specializes in strategic planning, business development for women entrepreneurs and presentation skills. Kathy is the former executive director of her local Chamber of Commerce, a registered social worker, a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and is currently working on her Ph.D.
In her “spare time” she is an Ironman Triathlete, a Bikram Hot Yoga enthusiast, an actor, and published author. It won’t surprise you to know that her book is entitled “Vision! Passion! Powerful Action!”
Another wise woman indeed and we feel wildly fortunate to have her lend her energies to this valuable venture that will make a difference in the lives of so many women!

Leah graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Design and a Minor in Marketing and has been a key member of the Shervin Communications Team since 2006.
Kath Drew

Numerical Navigator, Ingenious Integer-er…any one of these titles would fit for Kath, however given her many years with Disney, Digit Wizard seemed to be the right way to reflect her many talents. With a kind heart, and an intelligent head, Kath takes care of the digital details that make it possible for us as a team to make a difference in the lives of women.
To say we are fortunate to have Kath in our corner is a profound understatement. For more than 25 years Kath has been a Production Accountant in the motion picture and television industry. She spent 19 amazing years with The Walt Disney Company, then progressed to feature films films with Touchstone, and television productions for Hallmark Entertainment and Reunion Pictures.
She has a tremendous amount of experience working with multi-currency productions having worked extensively in Canada, the U.S., Italy and Puerto Rico.
It is a distinct privilege for us to have Kath’s wisdom and guidance on board.
